Family seeks treatment in private hospital
Hany Babu, accused in the Bhima Koregaon violence case in 2018 has been tested COVID-19 positive and has developed an acute eye infection at Taloja Central Jail.
A press statement released by the family said Prof. Babu had developed an acute eye infection in Taloja Jail. He had little or no vision in his left eye due to the swelling, which has spread to the cheek, ear and forehead compromising other vital organs and posing a significant risk to his life.

New Delhi: Delhi Universityâs Ram Lal Anand College has removed scholar-activist G.N. Saibaba, who is serving a life term in the Nagpur Central Prison for alleged links with Maoists, from his post as an assistant professor at the college.
Indian Express, college principal Rakesh Kumar Gupta, in a memorandum wrote, âThe services of Dr. G N Saibaba, Assistant Professor, Ram Lal Anand College are terminated with immediate effect from the afternoon of March 31, 2021. Three monthsâ salary has been paid in his Savings Bank Account.â
