Temps are dropping into the 40s for some valley locations while higher elevations, mainly above 3,000 feet, are still in the 70s because of warmer air aloft. High pressure this week will mean unseasonably warm temps during the afternoons. Todays highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s for the inland valleys. The bay shoreline will warm to the mid 80s, while the coast will hit the upper 70s. We may see a few spots tie or even break high temperatures records this afternoon. Looking ahead, tuesday should be the warmest day this week, before gradual cooling kicks wednesday. Inland highs should drop back the mid 70s by no major hot spots.
