COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – More than a month after Hurricane Eta hit Southwest Florida, businesses are still feeling the impacts specifically in Collier County.
The Caxambas Boat Ramp had been closed for repairs from the storm but reopened Friday. Businesses had already lost some big bucks from the closure.
County Commissioner Rick LoCastro ordered the county to fast track the project, much to the excitement of business owners.
“We’re having to ask people to wait forever. It could mean lost business as far as we’re concerned. We had lost business because people get upset,” Captain Don Boone with Sand Collar Shelling said.
