73-year-old Raymond L. Duke of Cisne, died Wednesday, April 7 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Ray was born on July 12, 1947 at Effingham, Illinois to Ellery and Margaret (Howard) Duke. Ray married Ann Carter on November 24, 1968 at the Brick Church. They shared 53 wonderful years together. Ray spent twenty- eight years in the insurance field and that gave he and his wife, Ann the opportunity to live in many different parts of the country. Ray attended Southern Illinois University graduating June 1968. Ray liked being outdoors, landscaping, spending time with his grandsons and spending time at the beach with friends. Ray was also a volunteer at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, served as Cisne Village Trustee for several years. Ray served in the Illinois National Guard. He was a member of Grapevine Methodist Church in Grapevine, Texas and was a past member of Kiwanis Club,
