“So I felt the need to organize this walk for the fallen children, not only here in all of Canada and the United States, there’s many more that are going to come and it just broke all of our hearts, and saddened us to think that these children didn’t have a chance in life like us, Because we are resilient people, we’re still here.” said walk organizer Lucille Provost.

According to Provost the strength of the walk was in the number of attendees. That strength in numbers is going to be key in the healing process going forward Provost said.

Some restaurants like Bear Grass Bistro plan on taking it slow, keeping their indoor seating limited. While others such as Boston Pizza will be opening up their indoor dining space to full capacity to go along with their new patio space.

Marie Everts, Pincher Creek’s economic development officer, said the lockdown had been extremely challenging for many sectors, especially restaurants, due to the heavy restrictions.
Despite these challenges, she said she’d seen some great effort from restaurant owners and staff to stay afloat.
