Through the Wall made its debut in June with a performance at Dillinger s Entertainment Center. The support that Through the Wall had when we played at Dillinger s, it was phenomenal, Fiske said. The place was packed; we raised over $2,000 for the Bucyrus Band Parents Associations and their efforts to raise money for a trip that they re planning to Universal Studios in Florida this winter.
Through the Wall will perform at 7:30 p.m. July 31 on the Schines Art Park stage, and also is scheduled to perform during the Bratwurst Festival. There s some real wizards in that group

Bucyrus City Schools name new band director
Brent Carpenter to fill post after Matt Fiske s retirement
BUCYRUS - An Avon Lake native has been named the new band director for Bucyrus City Schools.
Bucyrus Superintendent Matt Chrispin announced in a news release late Thursday that Brent Carpenter, who grew up in the Avon Lake area and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2015, will be coming to Bucyrus from MacArthur High School in Houston, Texas. In Houston, Carpenter served as assistant director of the MacArthur High School Jammin’ Generals, with 170 members.
Mark Fiske, who has been the Bucyrus band director since 2000, submitted his resignation to the board in December.
