Crews battling the McKinney Fire in California have made progress after nearly a week of trying to get the state’s largest wildfire under control.

Firefighters are continuing to battle the McKinney Fire near Yreka, as well as several smaller fires in northwestern Siskiyou County.

The McKinney Fire, about 4 miles west of Yreka in western Siskiyou County, has burned more than 57,000 acres and destroyed numerous buildings.
