U.S. Attorney Andrew Murray announced Markuetric Stringfellow, 37, of Powder Springs, Georgia was sentenced to 78 months in prison and three years of supervised release after defrauding North and South Carolina Medicaid programs. In addition, U.S. District Judge Kenneth Bell says Stringfellow will also have to pay $5,278,550 in restitution. Detectives say in his North Carolina scheme, Stringfellow was a partner in Everlasting Vitality, LLC (EV) and Do-It-4-The Hood Corporation (D4H), a corporation that operates after-school programs in Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Rocky-Mount, North Carolina.

McCoy Jr., a Georgia man has been sentenced to 6.5 years in federal prison for defrauding Medicaid programs in the Carolinas. Officials say 37-year-old Markuetric Stringfellow was a franchise owner of Wrights Care Services LLC, a South Carolina Medicaid rehabilitative behavioral health services which is headquartered in Columbia with several franchise locations throughout the state. In April 2014, authorities say Wrights Care became a Medicaid program provider in the state, which allowed the group to submit claims for behavioral mentoring services to be reimbursed by Medicaid. Officials say Stringfellow and his co-conspirators submitted claims for services either not provided, partially provided or that did not qualify for reimbursement. Additionally, investigators say they group submitted falsified patient billing records and medical notes.

(WBTV) - A Georgia man is headed to prison and will be required to pay more than $5 million after investigators say he defrauded North and South Carolina Medicaid programs. Markuetric Stringfellow, 37, of Powder Springs, Ga., was sentenced today to 6.5 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release. He will also have to pay $5,278,550 as restitution. According to court documents, Stringfellow was a resident of Charlotte and Greensboro, and a partner in Everlasting Vitality (EV) and Do-It-4-The Hood Corporation (D4H). D4H operated after-school programs in Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Rocky Mount.
