MARLIN, TX â The City of Marlin continues to work through issues with their water system.
On Sunday, water was reported to be continuing to slowly return to people, as the freshly-repaired city water plant pumped 1200 gallons per minute into the town.
According to Marlin Mayor Carolyn Lofton, water personnel are pumping 1300 gallons per minute into town on Monday, which is max pumping.
However, they are not seeing results in the town. They are working major leaks around town which is usurping water, Mayor Lofton said. The water is being turned off at the leak until repairs can be completed.

MARLIN, TX â Marlin s water is restoring after a week-long struggle with repairs at the Marlin Water Plant.
According to Marlin Mayor Carolyn Lofton, water has now been restored but officials are asking residents to limit their use today if they have received water thus far. The plant will need until tomorrow to fill all 4 towers, said Marlin Mayor Carolyn Lofton. The plant needs 24 hours to fill each tower with the 150,000 to 250,000 gallons they require. If you are first to receive water and you use all of the water in the first tower, it will take days to get water to the rest of the town.
