A full investigative report detailing the death of a 19-year-old Florida college student, Miya Marcano, has been released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Miya’s Law, which seeks to make apartments in Florida safer through mandatory background checks, is headed to Gov. Ron DeSantis. The Florida Senate gave final approval Friday to legislation named after slain Orlando college student Miya Marcano, who grew up in Pembroke Pines.
