BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) Three men were arrested in the brazen armed robbery of a man s $500,000 watch while he was dining outdoors in Beverly Hills, authorities said Wednesday.
The suspects wore hoods and one of them put a gun to the head of the watch s owner as he sat at Il Pastaio restaurant on March 4, according to police. A woman was shot in the leg during a struggle over the watch and the gun. She was not seriously hurt.
The three suspects arrested Tuesday are members of a South Los Angeles street gang, investigators said.

Three men have been arrested for the March armed robbery at Beverly Hills celebrity hot spot restaurant Il Pastaio, where a man was robbed of his $500,000 Richard Mille watch. A woman sitting near the man who was robbed was shot with non-life-threatening injuries to her leg.
The men were identified as Malik Lamont Powell, 20; Khai McGhee, a.k.a. Cameron Smith, 18; and Marquise Anthony Gardon, 30. According to the LAPD, the three men are documented members of the Rollin’ 30s Crips. They have been charged with one count of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. Authorities revealed that there are two other people involved in the incident that remain at large. The three men face a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison if convicted as charged.

The federal complaint unsealed Tuesday said the three men entered the Il Pastaio restaurant in Beverly Hills on March 4 and held a patron at gunpoint while robbing him of his $500,000 Richard Mille wristwatch.
The patron struggled with the attackers in an attempt to seize control of the gun. During the struggle, two shots were fired and a woman dining at the restaurant was struck in the leg.
