Landscape Tantrums Deepens Mysteries of Debut LP New vinyl box set, La Realidad De Los Sueños, includes unfinished original recordings of De-Loused in the Comatorium Ryan Reed | April 19, 2021 - 1:42 pm Share this article: Remember when albums were marketed on TV commercials? (For that matter, remember commercials?) Back in 2003, flipping through channels during a vacation with friends, I was physically startled by the sound of “Inertiatic ESP” — flailing distort...

Whither goest thou, Greta Van Fleet, into the inky night? The Michigan band are often the subject of derision, yet for all the negative reviews, slightly cruel memes, and the endless, endless Hobbit comparisons still they survive, and still they thrive. Album No. 2 is bigger, broader, and heavier than before, the work of a group of musicians who long ago swore to an idea, and certainly don’t see any sense in backing down now that the stadiums are set to re-open. Said idea – and it’s ad...

The album is loosely inspired by the glam metal veterans scandalous 2001 memoir  The Dirt, chronicling Motley Crues journey from hard-rocking gutter rats to world-conquering rock stars, with plenty of professional pitfalls and personal hang-ups along the way. The title track revisits a pivotal moment in Motley Crues career: when they agreed to their first contract. Just so you do...

As the weather warmed during the spring of 2020, many were not working—laid off or furloughed—or had begun working from home as a result of the new COVID-19 pandemic. Such was the case with Jon and Julia Halperin. Now, if you went to a Chain Reaction from 2000 to 2006, Jon booked it. If you’ve been to The Glass House in the last 15 years, chances are, that was a Jon Halperin show. He has booked thousands of acts over the last two decades, from Death Cab For Cutie and Jimmy Eat World to Pa...
