Thorndale ISD implemented the school guardian program in 2018 that allows them to arm staff members.

What is your reaction to it? what do you think? >> i think it has some things in it that are definitely an improvement. its the first major gun legislation in our state in over 20 years. so i think that that, in itself, is remarkable. i think it has sod good morning things in it, raise the age to 21, banning bump stocks, increase funding for mental health, but it falls short of what the kids wanted. it definitely isnt a ban on assault rifles, which they wouldnt take up debate in the legislature....
