Ernest H. ‘Hilton’ Newman
WILMINGTON Loving husband and devoted father, Ernest H. “Hilton” Newman, 74, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021.
Born and raised in Sampson County, Hilton was the youngest of four children to Isabell and Marshall Thomas “Tom” Newman. Growing up on the family farm, Hilton developed a love for hunting and fishing, but not for the long hours and hard work of farming. At the age of 10 years old, Hilton received a model airplane from his oldest brother and knew he wanted to be a pilot one day. After graduating from Clinton High School, Hilton briefly attended the Air Force Academy and Methodist College, before graduating from Campbell University.

I bought two bikes that I customized myself, and they were my birthday gifts to myself, says the DJ. I posted the bikes on Instagram, like, ‘Hey I just did these bikes, they’re a gift to myself.’ And a buyer from the UK looked at one of the bikes and was like, ‘Hey, can I buy it?’
