Martin Co. Man Admits To Having Quarter-Million Pictures of Child Porn
MARTIN, CO., Ind. A Martin Co. man admitted to having around a quarter-million pictures of child pornography.
Friday, April 30, Dubois County Community Corrections contacted the Martin County Sheriff’s Department for help while doing a home check on Timothy Guy.
Guy was on home detention for being convicted of possession of child pornography in the past. During the home check they had found more.
The Indiana State Police were called and over several hours, numerous printed child porn photos were found, and a large amount of electronic storage devices.

FAIRMONT A Fairmont School bus traveling south along Albion Avenue in Fairmont was involved in an accident with a semi-truck at the intersection of Albion Ave and Lake Aires Road. According to information from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department, the truck was moving east along Lake Aires Road as the bus was continuing south on the Albion Avenue.
The truck clipped the back of the school bus causing it to near the ditch where it ended up flipping on its left side. Inside the bus were 10 children and the driver. Responders to the scene were able to remove the children and the driver from the bus. According to information provided by Superintendent Joe Brown and Elementary Principal Michele Rosen, the 10 kids were all safe and turned over to their parents, and the bus driver was okay as well. An investigation is ongoing. Local law enforcement and emergency medical services were on site.

The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a call from Martin County Sheriff’s Office advising a male had been electrocuted near River Front Road in the Lovely community of Martin County. A detective from post 9 responded to investigate.
The initial investigation indicated Brandon Chapman, 36 years old of Tomahawk, was electrocuted near an abandoned building off River Front Road. Brandon Chapman was pronounced deceased on scene by the Martin County Coroner’s Office.

(MARTIN CO) – The Martin County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that U.S. 231 South is closed between Hoffman Road and Hayesville Bridge until further notice due to an accident.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Department is requesting motorists find an alternate route of travel.

Update: Police canceled the Silver Alert for Walter Batman early Friday morning, Dec. 11, 2020.
SHOALS, Ind. - Police have issued a Silver Alert in the search for a man missing from Martin County.
The sheriff’s department is looking for Walter Batman, 84.
He is 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 216 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a gray long sleeve shirt with blue jeans and was driving a red 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan with Indiana license plate BFD273.
Walter is missing from Shoals, Indiana, which is 97 miles south of Indianapolis. He was last seen around 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
