Gaelscoil Laighean: Parents Consider Protest over School Location By Mike Gilmore Parents of students at Gaelscoil Laighean have decried the lack of engagement from the Department of Education.
Parents at Gaelscoil Laighean are becoming increasingly impatient with the Department of Education, yet again demanding answers on where their school will ultimately be located.
In the last fortnight, they ve been informed the school was to be moved from one temporary location at Kill Lane in Blackrock, to another far outside their catchment area on Eblana Avenue in Dun Laoghaire.
Meanwhile, it seems the permanent location they had expected at Newtownpark Avenue is now to go to an Educate Together secondary school, while their current temporary location at Kill Lane is to be given on an interim basis to an Educate Together primary school, which would also be outside of its own catchment area.
