'It was a bit of a shock for us all this time around,' said Mary. 'Before Christmas we didn't think there would be another full lockdown. Fortunately, we did some planning in December after funding came in under the Community Resilience Fund.'
Mary has been leading efforts under the Louth Community Call initiative since the pandemic first forced people to stay at home in March 2020.
'Early on in the first lockdown, we developed a network across Louth to ensure that people get the support they need with vital things like getting groceries and prescriptions,' she explained.

It was all hands on deck at Louth County Hall last week as council staff packed out special gifts for the 'Super Connectors - Operation Christmas gift bags for older people.'
