Show Transcript Phase one A of the nation's Cove in 19 vaccination program could start as early as this upcoming week on when talking to people about the arrival of the vaccine somewhere for it, while others remain uncertain as hospitals around the country begin receiving fighters. Cove in 19 vaccine Phase one A could start this week, which would vaccinate frontline healthcare workers and residents of long term care facilities. We asked people in the Jackson Metro area how they feel about the incoming vaccines. A soon as it becomes available, toe thio me, I'll probably take it. I mean, I'm out forward. Um, I do want to know the pros and cons of it, the risk of side effects. But anything that could get this we're better and get us back to what? I don't have to wear this mask anymore. I'm out for I think, that I would eventually take it. But I'm a little bit scared at first because I did hear that there are some issues with allergies and for some people, the speed at which this vaccine was produced and approved is a concern. Why too quickly? Because stuff like that takes time. It was it was maybe too fast. We spoke with the leading health experts at the Sonny Montgomery V, a medical center about the vaccine, and whether or not people have reason to be concerned, even though it's a new virus, is not completely brand new in the sense that we've had other coronavirus outbreaks. And so we the structure is not unfamiliar. Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine, our messenger, are in a vaccines, which is why they're the first to make it through clinical trials for approval. Some of them are quicker to make because they're like other vaccines that we already used. So the M R n A. Or the messenger R N a. Vaccines that are coming out first. Um, just because they're fast doesn't mean that they're not safe. And the Sonny Montgomery V, a medical center, will not receive the Pfizer vaccine. Instead, they're waiting for the modern a vaccine, which they say could be approved by the FDA as early as next week. Reporting in Jackson, Cecil Hannibal. 16 W A P T news
