Residents brought out of the building here as firefighters frantically worked and ape word of the fire at 2 30 this morning it happened middle floor book side inside the apartment of the of the older gentleman and residents say they were awakened by neighboring banging on doors yelling fire and could hear alarm in the hallway. There was a lot of smoke and heat. 19 adults and two children were able to get out. And we deposit have time to grab shoes. Good news for the residents is that this damage was mostly contained inside this one apartment. Theres a little smoke damage in the hall. Heres how residents described the experience us to earlier. It was billowing out black smoke from front from front door and it was obviously pretty bad. Very wet, heavy snow and not all of it melted during the day. It definitely is a concern tonight. We werent that cold last night. The district only dropped to 36 and at 40 degrees today we did not see much accumulation of the snow but there is a little bit of with itness around and some of the communities to our north had more substantial snow. But what was wet could be icy in the morning and a freeze is likely tonight. We expect it to be much colder tonight than it was last night, already down to three here in the district, 29 at hagerstown, so here its already colder than it was last night and those spots could be icy.
