Many fire victims at CMCH can be released, says doctor

A massive fire at a container depot near a port city in southeastern Bangladesh has killed at least 49 people including nine firefighters and injured more than 100 others.

Dhaka: At least 40 people were killed and over 450 injured as a massive fire caused by an explosion ripped through a private chemical container depot in southeastern Bangladesh, officials said on Sunday.

The death toll could rise as some of the injured are in critical condition, Reuters reporter citing Chittagong civil surgeon.

Vadodara district collector AB Gor said, "A fire broke out at Deepak Nitrite Company in Nandesari GIDC in Gujarat`s Vadodara on June 2. No casualty has been reported."

The fire tenders were immediately pressed into service, while the patients are being evacuated

At least 26 people were dead and more than 60 received burn injuries in a fire near a metro rail station in Delhi on Friday (May 13, 2022), Delhi Fire Services chief Atul Garg said.

No casualties have been reported, and certain loose wires were suspected to have caused the fire, informed officials. 

Chhattisgarh fire: The fire was attended to by fire tenders and there were no casualties reported.
