Misty Coast is the dream pop child of Linn Frøkedal and Richard Myklebust, also known from the noise masters, The Megaphonic Thrift. After ten years on the road with amplifiers turned up to 11, tours with great indie heroes like Dinosaur Jr and Stephen Malkmus, mild tinnitus and a Spellemann Award on the shelf, Frøkedal and Myklebust decided to adjust the recipe and cook up a new witch's brew. This time, the beauty would not be hidden behind a blanket of noise, but the pop melody would be allowed to lie on top of the pledge.

Since Misty Coast's debut album in 2017, the band has toured Japan, the UK and Europe, played a triple-digit number of club concerts and festivals, been nominated for the Spellemann Award and received rave reviews at home and abroad. Misty Coast is known for its strong guitar hooks, punchy bass lines and catchy, dreamy vocal melodies, drawing parallels to bands such as Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, PJ Harvey and Broadcast. In the autumn of 2023, Misty Coast released their fourth album "Nevereverending", which was recorded at the dining table in the couple's apartment in Torshov in Oslo, in the lighthouse keeper's house on the island of Utsira and with producer Matias Tellez in Bergen.

Rural Tapes is the instrumental solo project by Arne Kjelsrud Mathisen, otherwise known from I Was a King and The No Ones. The project has received an enormous response internationally, highlighted by Uncut, GQ Magazine, The Independent and declared genius by Mojo, who described the music as a hybrid between Kraftwerk, Air, Tortoise and Serge Gainsbourg. Their last album, "Inner space music", was nominated for the Edvard Prize in Norway and voted best Norwegian release of the year in Klassekampen. In February, Rural Tape's fourth album "Contact" will be released on Swedish Smuggler Recordings, and the live line-up is a quartet consisting of Kjelsrud Mathisen, Øystein Braut, Lars Løberg Tofte and Sigurd Thomassen. In terms of genre, the band finds itself at the intersection of krautrock, jazz, psych rock and ambient, always with clear nods to the 60s and 70s.
