Lisbon’s first literary festival starts today with debates, music and cinema
The first literary festival in Lisbon starts today and will run until the 9th, with debates, exhibitions, concerts and cinema, in various spaces of the city, bringing together more than 70 authors from eight countries, in a tribute to the Portuguese language.
With the artistic direction of José Pinho, the International Festival of Literature and Portuguese Language - Lisbon 5L is an initiative of the Lisbon City Council (CML) to celebrate World Portuguese Language Day and promote language, literature, books, bookstores, reading, authors and their readers.
The programming of the 5L Festival for the next five days will take place in different spaces ranging from the São Luiz theater to the Pharmacy Museum, passing through the Cineteatro Capitólio and the Cinema Ideal, as well as in Lisbon streets, bookstores, squares and squares.
