The parent of a Yreka High School senior started a Facebook group aimed at honoring all the graduating seniors by asking people to adopt them.
The page Yreka High Class of 2021, was created by Lisa Mott, whose daughter Breanne Hands is graduating in June along with 150 classmates from Yreka High School, Yreka Options and Discovery High School.
Mott asked parents, family members, guardians, or friends to promote their senior with a picture or two and a little about them. Community members can then adopt them by sending them gifts, words of encouragement, cards, etc. She said it is up to the person what they want to do for the senior.
