Taipei, Dec. 18 (CNA) Taiwan and the United States on Friday jointly announced the signing of a U.S.-Taiwan Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement aimed at providing a legal structure for further cooperation in these fields.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony at Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) headquarters, Foreign Minister Joseph Wu (吳釗燮) praised the pact as the first concrete result of the inaugural U.S.-Taiwan Economic Prosperity Partnership (EPP) Dialogue held on November 20.
