Updated: 8:43 PM EDT May 11, 2021 An ice cream truck was hit by a falling tree, which came down after it was struck by a car Tuesday night in Sutton.The crash, which involved a Chrysler sedan, happened on Manchaug Road.Sutton police say the driver of the Chrysler, a man, suffered what were described as moderate injuries. He was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.A man and his daughter were inside the ice cream truck when it was struck by the falling tree. They were not injured, according to police.Video taken at the scene shows the name on the ice cream truck is Lovey s Ice Cream. There is no word on what caused the Chrysler to crash into the tree at this time.

One person was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon involving a motorcycle and a truck in Hingham, police said.
Officers responded to reports of a crash at 12:01 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Middle Street in Hingham Thursday, police wrote in a statement. The motorcyclist was transported to a local area hospital but did not survive, the statement said. The truck driver was uninjured.
The intersection of Main Street and Middle Street remains closed while an investigation into the crash is conducted, the statement said.

TRACKING THE COVID-19 VACCINE Share Updated: 7:51 AM EDT Mar 15, 2021 Firefighters battled the flames and cold at a vacant home in Lynn early Monday.The fire started just before 2 a.m. at 41 Linden St.Crews were met with heavy fire upon arrival, officials said. Firefighters were faced with 25 mph winds, temperatures in the teens and low hydrant pressure, officials said.The fire department struck two alarms to bring in additional help.No injuries were reported.The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Firefighters were called to 16 Auclair St. at about 2:20 a.m. Saturday for a fire on the second floor of a two-family residence.
Video from the scene showed smoke and flames pouring from the home as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Public safety radio transmissions indicated that firefighters were alerted to a person trapped on the second floor of the building. A dispatcher told firefighters that a police officer was unable to get inside the building
