BRANDYWINE More than 120 people attended the annual South Fork Volunteer Fire Department banquet held at the fire house April 24.
President Jeff Bowers welcomed the crowd after an invocation by Marie Bowers Miller. Speakers included county forester Rosey Santerra and state Sen. “Bill” Hamilton.
Since no banquet was held last year due to the pandemic, Fire Chief Roy Bowers announced last year’s and then this year’s honorees.
In 2019, Dennis Knicely was Fireman of the Year followed by Tim Hook, Most Dedicated; Steven Cook, Outstanding Leadership; Rick Gillespie, Outstanding Services to the Community; the Fire Department Auxiliary, Outstanding Services; and Ryan Mitchell, Junior Fireman.
