The Maui Arts & Cultural Center hosts a panel discussion on Saturday, March 16 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Morgado Hall, marking the close of the Sense of Place/Place of Sense exhibit.
Although zoned for 2,137 residential units, the Ledcor Maui project proposes construction of a maximum of 975 residential homes, which includes the Wailea resort community’s first workforce housing units. The state mandated public comment period of 45 days ends on April 8, 2024.

The next Hawaiian Music Series of 2024 will feature well-known local musician Joshua Kahula. The free event takes place on Feb. 29 at 6 p.m., at Hale Hoʻikeʻike at the Bailey House in Wailuku.
The County of Maui announced that it has been awarded a prestigious Grants for Arts Projects Award in the amount of $30,000 by the National Endowment for the Arts. This grant will support the County’s Hui Mo’olelo program, a collaborative initiative in partnership with Maui Public Art Corps and Hale Hōʻikeʻike at the Bailey House/ Maui Historical Society.
