Tuesday, the California State University marked the end of contract negotiations with the California Faculty Association and gave its last, best offer; a 5% raise effective Jan. 31 for all instructional faculty, librarians, counselors and coaches. This announcement comes just weeks before a planned faculty and skilled worker strike across all campuses, and marks a failure between the parties to reach an agreement.
