Service tonight. Bart service is still stopped between the Concord Service and the bay point station. Tonight, bart says there will be fewer and shorter trains available tomorrow morning. Abc 7 News Reporter Wayne Freedman has more on the story. Reporter youre looking at a commuting conightmare, bart has closed the track due to an electrical problem on the track that has taken out two dozen cars today. Here is the bart spokesperson. Something is happening that is sending a surge and voltage to only certain cars and it is damaging a piece of the equipment. And at this point we cannot allow for any other cars to be damaged. Reporter it is similar to a problem two years ago, engineers are still looking for the cause of that problem.
