News from Lōemis
Wellington’s midwinter Lōemis festival is returning with a fantastical mix of theatre, music, gourmet food and craft beer, and a fiery procession inspired by the solstice.
Lōemis (pronounced lew-miss) first kicked off in 2016 and organiser Andrew Laking says this year’s festival is shaping up really well – he has had a lot more time to prepare and develop shows after Covid-19 put Lōemis on pause last year.
Starting on June 11, Lōemis events will run up to the winter solstice on June 21.
