More vaccine sites coming to Plattsburgh, Potsdam | News, Sports, Jobs

the Enterprise staff MALONE Large-scale, New York state-run vaccination sites are anticipated in the near future in Plattsburgh and Potsdam, Franklin County Public Health announced Thursday. They will be held at SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall and the Plattsburgh International Airport. The sites will be open by appointment only to those eligible in Phase 1A and 1B, as defined in the governor’s vaccination plan: including anyone 65 years or older, teachers, police officers, firefighters, prison guards and many grocery store workers. “At this time, we do not know when NYS will open the sites,” the county health department said in a press release Thursday afternoon.

First of St Lawrence County s COVID-19 vaccination centers set up at SUNY Potsdam

Wednesday, January 13, 2021 - 5:36 pm POTSDAM The first of St. Lawrence County’s COVID-19 vaccination centers has been set up in the Fieldhouse at SUNY Potsdam’s Maxcy Hall. Clinical personnel are anticipating the distribution of the next round of vaccinations on Monday, January 18. St. Lawrence Health System is collaborating with SUNY Potsdam, New York State, and St. Lawrence County Board of Health in the initiative to get county residents vaccinated against COVID-19. Along with the Potsdam location, SLHS is working to establish clinics in Gouverneur and Massena. The county is also working to help get two more set up in Ogdensburg and Star Lake.

NY National Guard will be on SUNY Potsdam campus to help set up mass vaccination site

Wednesday, January 13, 2021 - 1:33 pm POTSDAM The New York National Guard will be on the SUNY Potsdam campus starting today, Wednesday, Jan. 13 to assist with setting up the regional COVID-19 vaccination clinic. The clinic, which the SUNY Potsdam President Kristen Esterberg in an email says will be in the Maxcy Hall Fieldhouse, is set to open next week. It will be available by appointment only. In addition to the SUNY Potsdam site, the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is in the process of setting up community clinics in Massena, Ogdensburg, Gouverneur and Star Lake.
