By WMAY Newsroom Springfield Park District photo Springfield’s Veterans Memorial Pool will not be opening for the season on this Memorial Day weekend after all. The Springfield Park District says the opening has been delayed because of technical problems with the pool’s filtration system. It’s not known how long the pool will have to remain closed. Nelson Center Pool is still scheduled to open for the season on Monday, after being closed all last year because of the pandemic.
