Covenant Volleyball Wins In First Round Of USA South Tournament Wednesday, April 14, 2021 Down 2-1 in the match, the Covenant volleyball team rallied to force a fifth set and held off No. 2 seeded Berea for a five-set victory (21-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-10, 15-13) in a USA South West Tournament first round match on Wednesday night. Emma Kalbfleisch had a career-high 25 kills, with a hitting percentage of .548, and Rachel Bartlett added 47 assists, 13 digs, and eight kills in the comeback win for Covenant (10-8). The No. 3 seed Covenant will advance to play No. 1 seed Maryville in the USA South West Championship on Saturday in Maryville, Tenn.

The City of Chattanooga’s Inauguration for Mayor-Elect Tim Kelly and members of the Chattanooga City Council will be held on Monday, at 10 a.m. at the Tivoli Theatre.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance to the inauguration ceremony will be limited only to elected officials, their guests, speakers, members of the judiciary who will be administering the oaths office, and members of the media.
. The ceremony will be rebroadcast on WTCI-TV at 11 p.m. on Monday, and 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 22.
