At 21 Spring Street in Danbury is a home that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Its known as the Octagon House, and in its day, it was in pristine condition and one of the few remaining homes of its kind in the country. In the later part of 2015, the City of Danbury purchased the home for $135,000, promising to restore it into a revival showpiece.
