The Narcotics Control Bureau of Guwahati and Imphal has broken up an international trafficking network of precursors used in the manufacture of drugs. The trade involved shipping pseudoephedrine from India into Myanmar, and the operation has resulted in the seizure of 110.5 kgs of pseudoephedrine in tablet form and the arrest of seven people so far. The operation targeted the ring-leader of the group, Md Abdul Wakil, who used a B2B platform to traffic the substance. The mastermind behind the diversion of Pseudoephedrine, Bhadresh Patel, has also been identified.
