The 2023 Mead Road Mardi Gras lines up at the 4/5 Academy on Feb. 4 at 1 p.m. It could be the last time the good times roll down Mead Road, unless someone picks up the bedazzled baton.
On Saturday, February 26th, Decatur Cares About Climate mobilized 20 climate and energy activists from Decatur to march in the Mead Road Mardi Gras parade. Joined by Commissioner George Dusenbury, the “Climate Krewe” stopped along the path and talked with neighbors about lowering their carbon footprint and the impacts of climate change.
Various events are happening this week in and around DeKalb County, including the 7th annual Love Run 5K, the Decatur City Commission retreat and the Mead Road Mardi Gras parade. Several local government meetings are also scheduled for this week.
