The company operated out of Corenthum, the premier office complex in Sector 62, and paid a rent of Rs 3 lakh per month. Police said they had received at least 40 written complaints of fraud against it from traders across the country in Punjab, Haryana, UP, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Delhi, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and a few other states. Goel and at least four others ran the company. Among their employees were three foreigners, who handled the front office as receptionists, police said.

World’s cheapest smartphone ‘Freedom 251’ founder Mohit Goel has been arrested by the police again. Earlier also, Mohit Goel was arrested in the year 2018 on allegations of fraud. However, this time he has been accused for duping traders in a dry fruits fraud.
Mohit Goel along with one other has been arrested in Noida on Sunday evening near Meghdootam Park in Sector 51. Police have seized three phones, 60 kilogram dry fruits, an Audi car, an Innova and other electronics from them.

Noida: The 'Freedom 251' smartphone maker, Mohit Goel is back in news, however, this time he is accused of dry fruits fraud. The Noida-based entrepreneur, and the founder of the company Ringing Bells, Goel is accused of cheating dry fruit traders. The police said that it is a Rs 200 crore fraud.
He along with five others were running a company, called the Dubai Dry fruits and Spices Hub. He was arrested on Sunday from Meghdootam Park, Sector 51 in Noida. The police recovered an Audi, along with 60 Kgs of dry fruits and documents from Goel's place. The Dubai Dry fruits and Spices Hub company was operating from Corenthum, which is a premier office complex in Sector 62. Rent of Rs 3 lakh per month was paid by them for the office spaces.
