Worcester Public Schools said Friday that the Educational Association of Worcester and the Worcester School Committee have agreed on a tentative contract.
“Our members are frustrated, tired and want this to be done,” Education Association of Worcester President Melissa Verdier said from in front of City Hall on Friday. “But we will not settle for anything that is less than what we deserve.”
The Worcester School Committee filed a petition on Friday for the appointment of a mediator from the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations to help reach a contract settlement between the school committee and the teachers’ union for the Worcester Public Schools, the Educational Association of Worcester.
