Dengue cases in Davao City have doubled from January to September 2023, with 4,953 cases reported. Barangay Talomo Proper in the 1st District has the most cases with 750. In contrast to the 2,400 dengue cases reported for the same period in 2022, Talomo has experienced an increase, attributed to inadequately managed drainage systems.
Officials say that from January to August alone, over 1,500 Davao residents were affected by dengue, which is more than the 1,052 cases reported during the same period in 2022
