Freedom Fighter, actor and Member of Parliament Akbar Hossain Pathan (Farooque) passed away at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore yesterday morning.
Rumours of the actor’s death circulated on the social media earlier this morning. However, his family informed The Daily Star that his condition is stable. “Your Mia bhai is fine and healthy,” said his wife, Farhana Pathan. She also asked for prayers from Farooque’s fans and well-wishers.
