The team behind the hit restaurant is opening Menya Shono in San Rafael.John Storey/Special to the Chronicle Marin County is getting a new noodle restaurant from the team behind Mensho Tokyo, one of San Francisco’s top ramen destinations known for long waits and rich, creamy broths. Renowned Tokyo ramen chef Tomoharu Shono will open Menya Shono in the coming days at 908 Fourth St. in downtown San Rafael. He’s still tinkering with the menu and won’t open until he feels ready, which could take as little as three days or as long as two weeks, said co-owner Abram Plaut.
