NORTH CANTON Not all lessons come from books; some come from the heart.
Take, for example, the students at Clearmount Elementary School, where they just finished a two-week community service project for nursing homes.
The student body, K-2, collected homemade and store-bought items meant to ease the isolation and loneliness COVID-19 has on seniors in assisted living facilities. So much was collected the school will donate to two places.
The students also made Valentine s Day cards. We were blown away with the support, said Principal Josh Runner. I think it did so well because of the personal experiences people are having with their families.
