Hopefully Buffalo Raceway officials have fast drying ink for the record book after Deswanslittlelorie set the all-aged trotting record at Buffalo Raceway this past Saturday night with a 1:55.3 time, Wild Bill Kelso came to town on Wednesday afternoon (July 19) and tied that mark with a length victory in a New York Sire Stakes event for the three-year-old colt and gelding trotters.

Seven horses were entered for the Dexter Cup, the first Grand Circuit event of the season for three-year-old male trotters, making eliminations unnecessary this Saturday at Freehold Raceway. All seven horses advance directly to the Dexter Cup final, which will go for a purse of $137,775, on May 6 at the half-mile track in central New Jersey.

Tioga Downs played host to several W.N. Reynolds Memorial stakes races on Friday (Sept. 23), and the rookies really put on a terrific show.  

The New York Sire Stakes visited Batavia Downs for the final time this year on Wednesday (Aug. 31) with a dozen two-year-old trotting colts and geldings competing for the remaining spots in the finals to be held during the Day of Champions at Tioga Downs on Saturday (Sept. 10). 

Driver Brian Sears and trainer Marcus Melander combined for four wins including two New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) races as Vernon Downs played host to New York Sire Stakes action for two-year-old trotting colts & geldings on Friday afternoon (July 22).

Wild Bill Kelso ($6.90) was the fastest of the two $53,500 divisions of the New York Sire Stakes for the two-year-old colt and gelding trotters at Buffalo Raceway on Wednesday afternoon (June 29) while Kennebago ($9.30) was just a step slower in his winning performance.
