Two separate cases were filed against former Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sayeed Khokon for making "defamatory remarks" against the current mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh. Advocate Sarwar Alam filed one of the cases with the Court of Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury around 2:30pm today, our court correspondent reports quoting Ripon Mia, a peon of the court.
