The City of Malolos has been placed under a state of calamity due to massive flooding brought about by southwest monsoon or habagat rains enhanced by Typhoon Fabian.
The state of calamity declaration was made by virtue of City Resolution No. 135-21 passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod on Friday, July 30, 2021.
The Provincial Government of Bulacan continues to monitor the situation in the province as habagat rains are expected to continue throughout the week.
As of 5 p.m. on August 2, the water level of Angat Dam was at 192.49 meters. Ipo Dam’s water level was at 100.81 meter (spilling level 101.00 meters), and Bustos Dam was at 17.15 meters (spilling level 17:00 meters) On Monday, August 2, Ipo Dam opened its Gate B by 15 cm. to release a total of 34 cms. with an elevation of 100.81 meters. Bustos Dam released 26 cms with an elevation of 17.18 meters.
