Consumers Energy among top companies for workplace diversity in new Forbes list

JACKSON, MI Consumers Energy is one of the best places to work for diversity, according to a Forbes ranking released Tuesday.
The Jackson-headquartered company is the top utility company in the country, according to the magazine’s list of “America’s Best Employers for Diversity.” It’s second overall in Michigan for its efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion, behind only financial services Quicken Loans, according to an April 27 news release.
Consumers Energy was ranked 22nd in the nation overall in the ranking, based on a survey of 50,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.
