The former chief of the Thunder Bay Police Service is facing charges of obstructing a public or peace officer, breach of trust, and obstruction of justice following an investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police.

A former police chief in the northern Ontario city of Thunder Bay was arrested and charged on Friday, marking the third arrest in an ongoing investigation by provincial police into allegations of misconduct at the force.

She is the second member of the force to face charges as part of the OPP's investigation into alleged misconduct in the force.
