MACON, Ga. The Middle Georgia Comic Convention will be going on in Macon this Saturday.
It will be held at the Holiday Inn Macon North located at 3953 River Place Drive. More than 10 vendors will be on site.
Kids 12 and under can get in for free, while adults cost $5 to attend.
The goal of the event is allow people to enjoy themselves while reading comic books.
There will also be toys and anime.
Store owner Michael Huffman says this is a great opportunity for the community to enjoy.

Environmental Awareness Month
Mayor Barbara Volk has proclaimed April 2021 as Environmental Awareness Month in the city of Hendersonville. The proclamation emphasizes the priority the city places on environmental sustainability programs and encourages the public to participate and make Hendersonville a better place to live.
Pollinators
The city of Hendersonville celebrates Earth Day every day by being certified as a Bee City USA affiliate. In its joint effort to continue to fulfill the city’s commitments to create healthy habitats for pollinators, the Tree Board takes the lead on planting projects and maintaining a recommended species list while the Environmental Sustainability Board heads up educational events to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators.

SPOKANE, Wash. Spokane police arrested a man for allegedly driving under the influence and hit and run after fleeing police and colliding with another vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.
At about 1:49 p.m., police responded to reports of a reckless driver who was under the influence on Cataldo Avenue, according to Spokane Police Sgt. Michael Huffman. Officers caught up to the vehicle, driven by 35-year-old Richard Urbanski, in the area of Desmet Avenue and Freya Street, Huffman said.
