Burglar arrested in Lompoc, all stolen items recovered, police say

On Wednesday, February 23, Lompoc Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to Surf Connection, a surf shop in Lompoc, after a front glass break alarm went off at approximately 2:00 a.m.
Officers arrived minutes later and found the business had been burglarized. The front door was completely shattered and stacks of jeans appeared to be stolen.
Based on surveillance from within the business and nearby surveillance cameras, the subject was last seen running into the parking lot of a nearby motel.
LPD Detectives were able to review more nearby surveillance later in the morning and established the room the suspect had entered.
Jeans thief arrested in Lompoc
LOMPOC, Calif. - Lompoc police was dispatched to a skate and surf shop early Wednesday morning after a front glass break alarm went off inside the store.
It happened at Surf Connection at 1307 North H Street around 2 a.m.
The front door of the store was shattered and it appeared that several stacks of jeans had been stolen.
Based on surveillance from within the business, as well as nearby surveillance cameras, the subject was last seen running into a parking lot of a nearby motel. LPD detectives were able to review even more nearby surveillance and determined the room the suspect had entered.
