Marvin Rotrand says he will work to combat hate crimes and reiterate B’nai Brith’s stance against online hate.

Longtime city councillor Marvin Rotrand is poised to take on a new position fighting hate when he leaves Montreal City Hall next month. He will serve with B’Nai Brith Canada as national director of its League for Human Rights, the organization announced on Monday.

A news release from B’nai Brith of Canada has shone a light on another alleged anti-Semitic hate crime in our city.

“We trust that our law-enforcement partners will investigate these matters diligently and do everything possible to apprehend the perpetrators,” said B’nai Brith Canada CEO Michael Mostyn.
